Wellness transcends life’s circumstances and empowers us to heal by maintaining balance within our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health through self-care and self-love.
Self-love is the foundation of all love: loving our whole being with all our hearts, including our flaws, large and small, without judgment or criticism. Loving all of life, not only that which allows us to see the perfection in ourselves and others, but what allows us to see the imperfection as well and love it just the same.
No one needs to prove themselves worthy of love. We are all worthy! Defining ourselves and others through concepts of success and failure, relationships, or ideas of who we are in career, family, culture, religion, education, and media are often projections of beliefs that do not serve our well-being. We all deserve love unconditionally!
By perceiving beauty even in the ruffled feather, we hold ourselves in compassion through tenderness and kindness to show ourselves daily love. And through loving-kindness for ourselves, we radiate our love outwardly to others and the world around us. When we love another, we love a part of ourselves. When we forgive another, we forgive a part of ourselves. Forgiveness of ourselves and others empowers us to heal, returning not only ourselves and others but the world to a state of wholeness.
Forgiveness is the path to freedom. Love is freedom!
